I am a queer writer, organizer and fabric artist based in Philadelphia, PA. As an artist, I’m committed to the values that have imbued my paid organizing work. All of my designs are hand-stitched, and most are made from recycled, scrap, or thrifted fabrics and thread. Upcycled clothing is thrifted.

In my artistic practice, I absolutely resist perfectionism. As a human being, one of the things I will make the most of is mistakes, and I am not trying to pretend that I’m anything other than human, in my art or my life. Sorry/not sorry to those who prefer industrial production or AI.

I am the proud mother of Alina and Isaac, and hold a Bachelor in Fine Arts from Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University. I am for artists and organizers, always. 

For over thirty-five years I’ve worked in movements for peace, workers’ rights, and migration rights. I’ve been published in Wired Magazine, the New Labor Forum of CUNY, The Shape of Things to Come, and Ours to Hack & Own. For eight years, I authored the blog Hack the Union, about the intersection of work, technology and organizing.
